Open Concept Kitchen Remodel with Maple Cabinetry
Valencia
My clients wanted a home that was bright, airy, and held a certain charm that was both clean and inviting. To transform their space, we decided on opening up the floor plan and layering in finishes that spoke to their personalities.
The heart of this transformation is a reimagined kitchen with maple cabinetry that grounds the space. The new layout removes visual barriers and creates a natural flow between the kitchen, living, and dining areas.
Every element and design choice was utilized to brighten, simplify, and soften. Layered wood tones, frosted glass entry door, and an open concept kitchen helped achieve the feel they were going for.
Layered Cabinetry with Custom Storage
My clients needed a kitchen space that supported their daily routines without sacrificing the overall style and concept of the remodel. We reworked the kitchen cabinetry using a mix of natural maple and white fronts.
A dedicated coffee zone and tall pantry cabinets make space for a relaxing start of the day and provide extra storage while keeping the kitchen feeling open and light. We added a dining table that complements the cabinetry and flows easily into the adjacent family room for casual get-togethers.
The white Cafe appliances are modern, allowing them to blend in with the cabinetry without overwhelming the kitchen’s color palette. For an added touch of luxury, I placed Cambria countertops to bring in a polished and durable feel to the space. Finally, I paired white cabinetry and island with gold hardware for added warmth. The combination brought more natural light into the entire space and added visual interest without clutter.
Fireplace Update with Modern Artisan Touches
I believe the fireplace is the perfect focal point of a living space. That’s why I decided my clients’ old fireplace needed a redesign to reflect the home’s new character of refinement and relaxation.
The soft-toned tile and clean trim gave their outdated fireplace a fresh face and the home a new cozy gathering spot. For contrast—matte black ceiling fan, vertical railing, and textured lighting fixtures elevated the formal dining room that sits nearby.
The Living Door Approach
This home remodeling project was all about transformation. I took a traditional layout and elevated it into something that lives easier and feels more personal. The open layout supports how modern families want to live—creating a functional space that’s both beautiful and practical.
At The Living Door, I help bring your vision to life through collaborative interior design and an eye for liveable luxury. Let’s design your signature space.
