New Construction

New Construction in Sioux Falls

New construction, design + build, or whatever you want to call it, I love an opportunity to turn a blank slate into the home you’ve always dreamed of. But at the Living Door, I’m not just here to make your rooms look pretty. I help you interview builders, compare bids, and make sure you understand the process and the value you’re getting from your potential builders. Plus, I can help you gather information to choose an architect or builder that best fits your needs.

What To Expect With Your New Construction Project

Finish Selections

I’ll also work with you to make all the finish selections necessary to complete your new home. This includes exterior finishes as well as interior finishes like:

  • Flooring
  • Countertops
  • Cabinetry
  • Mill work
  • Paint colors
  • Lighting
  • Tile
  • Hardware
  • And more

My goal is to ensure all of your spaces flow together in a way that feels exactly how it should to you.

Project Management

If your new construction project needs project management, I’m ready to help with that too. You may be hearing that the cost of new construction is high right now. But when we work together, I help you find solutions that actually save you money—so more of your budget goes toward what matters to you. Working with you, I can:

  1. Create an overall schedule and timeline for the work to be completed
  2. Coordinate and work closely with each trade partner (contractor, plumber, electrician, etc.)
  3. Be available to answer any and all questions as the project unfolds
  4. Stop by the job site regularly to ensure work is progressing on schedule and as planned
Trying to manage a design + build or new construction project can be a challenge. So when we wrap everything up and I hear my clients say, “This was so fun, I want to do it again…” I know it’s been a successful collaboration that we can all feel good about.
If you’re ready to get started, drop me a line. I’d love to talk about your dream project.
