The Lakeside Circle home in Sioux Falls, SD, doesn’t tiptoe around luxury interior design–it leans in. A high-end kitchen design, a unique statement wall fireplace, and a hidden door concept come together in a space that’s sharp, intentional, and anything but average.
My clients wanted a home that was built for both everyday living and effortless entertainment. Every detail was chosen with intention to curate a space that feels elevated yet livable, striking that balance between function and feeling.
Luxury Kitchen Design that Balances Beauty and Function
My clients love to cook, host, and live beautifully, and this kitchen was designed for just that. I chose a dual kitchen island concept to create a natural flow between the prep and gathering spaces. One side is functional, while the other is all about connection.
Matte countertops paired with white oak cabinetry and rich fluted black bases give this kitchen a softness and edge. Every detail, from the marble countertops and open shelving to the barstools and the pendant lights, feels warm and just a little unexpected—exactly what my clients were looking for.

Feature Wall Fireplace Concept
Sometimes, a fireplace should do more than blend in–it should own the room. We chose a dramatic fireplace wall feature to pair with the open-concept living room.
The dark quartz and subtle gold veining contrasts boldly against the light-filled room and comfortably complements the kitchen’s black and gold trim hardware. The painted wall panels frame the fireplace like a sculptural piece, and still, there’s even more than meets the eye.
Behind it all? A hidden door concept that leads to the primary suite. Fun, clever, and completely unexpected. Sometimes, it’s the out-of-the-ordinary design ideas that define true luxury and give a space a high-end edge.
